The Story of Universal Worship
Founded by Visionary Aimar Mwembo
– A Movement of Unity and Praise
In 2021, in the vibrant city of Lubumbashi, a young visionary named Aimar Mwembo birthed a project that would soon transcend boundaries, languages, and cultures. His vision was simple yet profound — to create a space where people from all backgrounds could gather together, form a circle, and worship Jesus Christ in unity.
That vision became Universal Worship.
A Vision Against the Odds
When the project began, there was a lot of doubt and uncertainty. Many didn’t believe such a dream could come alive, especially without funding, industry connections, or marketing experience. But Aimar’s heart was set on one thing—bringing people together to glorify God.
He reached out to every musician he knew, and with passion and faith, he assembled a team of believers who shared his vision. He appointed one of his close friends as manager, and together they began working tirelessly to make the first Universal Worship project a reality.
The First Breakthrough – “Jireh”
Their debut performance was a cover of “Jireh” by Maverick City Music, recorded and shared online. What happened next was nothing short of miraculous.
Within days, the video went viral, reaching over 100,000 views on YouTube — an incredible milestone for a first-time production coming out of Lubumbashi, created by a team with no prior marketing or industry experience.
Calls, collaborations, and encouragement began to pour in from everywhere. The message of unity and worship resonated deeply — not just in Congo, but across nations.
A Global Expansion of the Vision
After the success of that first project, Aimar felt called by God to take a leap of faith. He left his home country and traveled to the United States, starting fresh but carrying with him the same burning vision — to worship Jesus Christ and unite people through praise.
While Aimar was planting the next seed of Universal Worship abroad, the original team in Lubumbashi continued the mission. Their work grew beyond expectation — the videos and music released under the Universal Worship name reached over 5 million views, touching hearts across continents.
A Vision That Continues to Grow
What started as an idea, a song, and a circle of believers became a global movement of worship. Universal Worship is more than a ministry—it’s a testimony of what can happen when faith, unity, and vision come together.
From Lubumbashi to the United States and beyond, Aimar Mwembo’s vision continues to inspire a generation of worshipers to gather, praise, and lift up the name of Jesus Christ together as one.
